When it comes to horsepower and torque, it’s hard to
beat GMPPs popular ZZ502/502. With 502 horses and
567 grin-inducing lb.-ft. of torque, it’s one of the best
big-block performance values around. With GMPPs
complete engine kit, you can build your own ZZ502
and save!
The ZZ502/502 uses aluminum big-valve, oval-port
heads which flow tremendous amounts of air to satisfy
the demands of the 4.47-inch bores and 4.00-inch-stroke
crankshaft. Forged reciprocating components ensure
high-performance durability and longevity.
GMPPs complete engine kit comes with everything you
need to build a ZZ502/502 to the same specs as our crate
engine version. The kit comes with a pre-assembled
partial engine, including the reciprocating assembly,
camshaft, timing set, timing cover, balancer and oil
pan. Also supplied in the kit for final assembly are the
cylinder heads, valvetrain, intake manifold, 750-cfm
four-barrel carburetor, valve covers, water pump, HEI
distributor, spark plug wires and fasteners.

INSTALLATION NOTES
• Clutch linkage boss is cast into block, but must be drilled
and tapped. When using cast iron exhaust manifolds, lower
head bolts may need to be replaced with bolts with shorter
heads, for clearance.
• Requires electric fuel pump because Gen VI block has no
mechanical pump boss
• Comes with a 14-inch automatic transmission flexplate.
• Not intended for marine applications.
